DIDREX

Didrex is a brand of benzphetamine hydrochloride tablets. It is the common name of the drug 'benzphetamine'. Benzphetamine is a sympathomimetic amine that is anorexic in action.

The main function of this drug is to reduce hunger, which in turn reduces caloric intake. Its function is to prevent weight gain rather than cure the excess fat after its absorption in the body.

Symptoms of a Didrex overdose include restlessness, tremor, rapid breathing, confusion, hallucinations, panic, aggressiveness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, an irregular heartbeat, and seizures.

A dose taken too late in the day can cause insomnia.

Didrex tablets are contraindicated in patients with advanced arteriosclerosis, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, moderate to severe hypertension, hyper-thyroidism, known hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to sympathomimetic amines, and glaucoma. Didrex should not be given to patients who are in an agitated state or who have a history of drug abuse.

Didrex should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. This drug may be excreted into breast milk.You may have to stop nursing or stop using this drug. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Take Didrex exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.
Take each dose with a full glass of water.
Do not take phentermine in the evening because it may cause insomnia.
Do not crush, chew or open any "once-daily" phentermine tablets or capsules. Swallow them whole.

Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
